PEG-Si(Oet)32 Sol Agent Applied to PP Fabrics for Moisture Management

PEG-Si(Oet)32 sol originated from PEG with different molecular weights were synthesized as PP (polypropylene fabrics) moisture adsorption and perspiration exhaust agent. The agents applied to PP for hydrophilicity finishing is derived through prepolymer synthesized and hydrolysis process. The result showed that the sol prepared with PEG2000 show the optimum result especially when cylodextrin was added. The perspiration exhaust effect of the PP improved greatly. It was 26.57% after finishing compared with 3.09% of the untreated one. Moreover,there was also an improvement in moisture adsorption,which increased to 8.0 cm. But the value decreased to 5.6 cm after soaping 10 times.
