Digitization Reformation of Control System of Wool Carding Machine
The control of flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) under the auspices of a programmable logic controller (PLC) is generally used in textile machinery. In this paper the basic structure of the wool card and the deficiencies of its original control system were analyzed. With the underlay of that, it introduced the control system reformation based on the PLC. The reformed control system used the PLC as the main control unit and the touch screen as the man-machine interface. It also used an inverter and a stepper motor driver as the speed controller; used the auto-leveling mechanism to improve the quality of products. Finally, the wool card with the reformed control system gave a higher precision and steady performance. It also obtained a more convenient operability.
