Study on Wool Refining with Agents
Wool, as one kind of important textile materials, has good elasticity, moisture absorption and comfort, which results in unique style of wool fabric and favored by most consumers. Furthermore, the finer the wool is, the more comfort of fabric is. Therefore, refining of wool has been the forus of researching recently. Refining agents of wool are studied in this paper, the kind of agent, the concentration of agent, treatment temperature, time, pH are involved in experiments. At last, Wool diameter, friction coefficients of with-scale and against-scale, strength, weight change and shape are tested and compared before and after treatment. Results show that difference between friction coefficients of two directions is reduced, diameter of wool is also reduced after treatment with little lose in tenacity. Therefore, refinement with agent of wool is feasible.
