Research on the Properties of Interwoven Fabrics of Wool and Biodegradable PBST

In this article, interwoven fabrics of wool and some elastic filaments such as biodegradable poly(butylenes succinate-co-butylene terephthalate) (PBST), poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT), poly(butylene terephthalate)(PBT), and T400(PET/PTT bicomponent composite fiber) have been developed. The wool was used as warp while the other elastic filaments were used as wefts, and the wool/PBST fabrics were woven in different weft densities. Through the introduction of tested data of their properties such as thickness, air permeability, drape performance, tensile performance, stretching resiliency, fuzz and pill resistance, and wrinkle resistance, the properties of wool/PBST fabrics have been detailed investigated and compared with wool/PTT fabric, wool/PBT fabric and wool/T400 fabric. The conclusion had reference value for the development and application of PBST fibres.
