Synthesis of Ethilenic Bond Cyclodextrin and Their Application on Silk
The cyclodextrin monomer with ethilenic bonds Mono(2-O-tosyl)-6-acryloyl-β-cyclodextrin (β-CD-2-OTs-6-A) and 6-acryloyl-β-cyclodextrin (β-CD-6-A) were respectively synthesized. β-CD-2-OTs-6-A was prepared under the reaction between propylene chloride and β-CD-2-Ots. β-CD-6-A was synthesized by the reaction between propylene chloride and β-CD. The most suitable pH value for β-CD-6-A to be grafted on to silk fabric was proved to be 5. As the single-factor experimental study shows, the optimum process conditions of graftpolymerization about β-CD-2-OTs-6-A are as follows: concentration of monomers, 20%.owf; concentration of potassium persulfate, 1.85%.owf; material to liquor ratio, 1:50; time, 30min; temperature, 80℃; pH, 5. The scanning electron microscope pictures have proven the monomer success stem grafting to the surface of silk.
