Development of a New Environmental Detergent (Wooltech CIQ100) for Raw Wool
Raw wool contains a large amount of mud, excrement, vegetable matters, wool wax and other impurities. In wool washing of wool textile industry, it requires scouring off those impurities by adequate detergent. It is obvious that the performance of detergent not only directly affects the scoured yield, residual fat rate, whiteness, spinnability and handle, but also has a very big effect on subsequent processing and quality. Now the major application of wool detergents which has excellent function in the factories are from abroad like Hydropol TN 450,but according to the test it was found to contain enormous APEO which falls into non-environmental element and being banned by law in Europe. In this paper, Wooltech CIQ100 was developed with environment-friendly materials according to the mechanism of raw wool scouring. After optimizing main contents in formulation and being tested in wool scouring, it is proved that the wools performance such as scoured yield(74.47％),residual fat rate (0.04％),whiteness(23.76),yellowness(3.67) which are superior to the results by using Hydropol TN 450.
