Research on Application Performance and Action Mechanism of Low Temperature Dyeing Agent for Wool
The application performance and the mechanism of low temperature dyeing agent LDW-630 for wool were investigated. The results show that the dye uptake and fastness in low temperature of wool applying LDW-630 have reached the same level as conventional process. The breaking strength and breaking elongation of dyed wool fiber is elevated obviously than conventional dyeing process. Investigation of the mechanism shows that LDW-630 can contribute to the dissolution of dye. Results of FTIR manifest that the disulfide bond of wool fibre is partly destroyed, therefore the wool scale layer and CMC is loosened.
