Film Properties of Self-emulsifying Polysiloxanes Modified with Multi-cationic Groups on Cellulose Fiber
The self-emulsifying polysiloxanes containing multicationic groups are novel functional materials. The film properties of self-emulsifying polysiloxanes containing multi-cationic groups on cellulose surface were investigated. Thermal yellowing, surface morphology and wettability properties of functional polyosiloxane films on cellulose surface were discussed by reflectance spectra, whiteness and SEM. The results show that novel self-emulsifying polysiloxanes formed smooth transparent films on the surface of cellulose fibers. Polysiloxane films imparted excellent light reflectance. The selfemulsifying polysiloxanes improved wettability of cellulose fabric. However, with increasing polysiloxane concentration, thermal yellowing of the polysiloxanes on cellulose surface emerged. Handle of cellulose fabric treated with the polysiloxanes had not noticeable change.
