Research on the Separation and Extraction of the Micro-configuration of Wool Fiber Using Citric Acid

摘要：

The disintegration behaviors of wool fibers are investigated under citric acid and ultrasonic cavitations. The results indicate that citric acid is an effective reagent for wool fiber. With composite treatments of formic acid and citric acid, nearly all the scales are removed from the wool fiber. Cortical cells can be observed. Dipping in saturated solution of citric acid for several hours can prompt disintegrate of the wool fiber.
