Development and Evaluation of Easy Care Underclothes
Based on “Easy-Care idea, this paper assessed the existing problems of the disabled and the aged when dressing and undressing current underclothes and their maintenance through the investigation of 30 aged people with varying degrees of movement disorders. Fabric test technology, garment CAD software were used to design Easy-Care underclothes. Finally, two samples were made and used in dressing testing. Experiment results showed that easy care underclothes with a side seam zipper opening cost 28.6％ less time in dressing and reduced 3 dressing movements compared with the traditional underwear, improving the body comfort in dressing process.
