Quantitative Analysis of Wool-Cashmere Fiber Blends Using Near Infrared Spectroscopy

In this work, different spectral pre-treatment and regression methods were studied for the near-infrared (NIR) quantitative analysis of woolcashmere fiber blends. Savitzky-Golay smoothing pre-treatment and partial least squares (PLS) regression were selected and the best quantitative analysis model were developed, which had good calibration parameters, coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9976 and standard error of calibration (SEC) of 1.2192, and an accurate prediction with standard error of prediction (SEP) of 0.6718 of wool content in the fiber blends was achieved.
