Studies on the Rheological Behavior and Spinnability of Alkali Soluble HEC Solution
This paper first studied the dissolution process of hydroxyl ethyl cellulose (HEC) powder in dilute NaOH solution was studied, and then the rheological behaviors of alkali-soluble HEC/NaOH solution were exploited by viscometer. The influencing factors on the apparent viscosity of HEC/NaOH solution were also discussed. It was indicated that, the apparent viscosity of the prepared cellulose solution decreased with increasing its temperature and increased with increasing its concentration. Alkali-soluble HEC films were also prepared and characterized by SEM.
