Research and Analysis of Tensile Recovery Performance of 1×1 Rib-Knitted Fabric
1×1 rib stitch is the most widely used weft knitting structure, and always found in the stretch parts of the sweater. To discuss the tensile recovery performance of rib-knitted fabric load at specified elongation, 1×1 full needle rib and 1×1 drop needle rib were chosen in this paper. Experiments were taken separately to test the tensile and recovery performances in course and wale directions with different densities and tensile percentages. By analyzing the data, the tensile curves and the recovery curves were obtained, and we found that the stretch and the recovery were totally varied when using different needle arrangements, different densities and different tensile percentages. So research on stretch and recovery performances, especially the change after stretching several times, was very important to improve the clothing performances like the size stability and the comfort.
