Comparisons of Functions between the New Intelligent Fiber Bundle Tensile Tester and Sirolan TENSOR
The bundle fiber tensile test is a very important and speedy method for measuring and analyzing the wool fiber tensile properties. In this paper, the systems and functions of the new intelligent fiber bundle tensile tester were described. The new method to test wool fibers strength has been compared with CSIRO Sirolan-TENSOR based on the analysis of the new carding sampling systems, the image and the fiber bundle tenacity. According to the experimental results, the relationships between the new tester and Sirolan-TENSOR were discussed and established. The new tester is superior to Sirolan-TENSOR in functional, automation and testing speed, and provides much better accuracy.
