Research on Moisture Adsorption Property and Thermal Insulation Property of Rabbit Hair
In this paper, moisture adsorption and thermal insulation property of rabbit hair were analyzed, and it was compared with cashmere. In the course of balance of rabbit hair moisture adsorption & moisture liberation in standard condition, the regression equation on the moisture regain to time was deduced according to the curves, and discussed the principle of thermal insulation properties of rabbit hair and the influence of fibre structures and properties on its thermal insulation properties. The result showed that moisture adsorption ability of rabbit hair is worse than that of cashmere. Thermal insulation properties of rabbit hair were very good, it is better than cashmere. It mainly depends upon the medullary substance to hold the hair. Simultaneously, the curling elasticity and rigidity of fibre also have some effect on thermal insulation properties.
