Aroma Finishing of Cotton Fabric Grafted with β-Cyclodextrin
Polyacrylic acid (PAA) as crosslinking agent for grafting β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) onto cotton fabrics was studied. By means of single factor test, major factors affecting the ratio of grafting of β-CD were thoroughly investigated, including the concentration of β-CD, PAA and the catalyst, cure temperature. Then aroma finishing of grafted cotton fabric was carried out. The result indicated that cotton fabrics grafted with β-CD could release rose essential oil and had antibacterial activity.
