Performance Evaluation on CO2 Foam Fracturing Fluid

CO2 foam fracturing fluid is an important component of fracturing fluid system. During the low pressure,water -sensitive formation fracturing process, CO2 foam fracturing fluid is superior to the other fracturing fluid sys tems. After optimization, we determined the basis of CO2 foam fracturing fluid experiments formula: (0. 65 % ~ 0. 70% ) ORJ modified guar gum + 1. 0% FL36 foaming agent +0. 1% bactericide +0. 3% DL1 0 cleanup ad dictive + 1. 0% KCl clay stabilizer + (0. 003% ~0. 06% ) ammonium persulfate + 1.5% AC8 acidic crosslinking agent. And we evaluated 50% to 70% foam quality fracturing fluid shear properties, heat resistance, Theological parameters, viscosity — temperature properties, broken plastic and debris, the apparent broken glue performance and core damage. The results show that CO2 foam fracturing fluid system has the features of good temperature toler ance, shearing resistant performance,rheological properties, strong carrying capacity and less reservoir core damage which can meet the needs of most foam fracturing.
