Bio -tech Fuzzy -ball Drilling Fluids for Leakage Protection and Sealing in CBM wells
Clear water and polymer drilling fluid are often used in coal -bed methane ( CBM) wells, which may cause drilling fluid losses and even other complex accidents. Some new kind drilling fluid that is suitable for the CBM wells urgently needs to be developed. Based on the construction theory of the bacterial cell structure, one new molec ular structure of the plugging material is conceived. The molecular structure is similar to the bacterial cell structure and performs elastic characteristics, as well as having some certain strength, so it can fulfill the plugging task. This kind material can be created by surface -active agent, biological polymer and other sources. The new drilling fluids intensity can be adjusted between 0. 8 and 1. 2 g/cm3. The structure can be seen un der the bio — microscope. The drilling fluid was used in 6 wells that showed serious loss including Liulin -01 well,BinxianDFS02 -H2 well,LiulinCLY -33,CLY -22. The results showed that this kind fluid can effectively decrease the loss of the drill ing fluid. At the same time it is compatible with inhibitors and lubricants,layer protection agents and so on,so it can be widely used in CBM wells in the future.
