Coiled Tubing Operation Technology
At present, the oil fields have entered the mid -late period of exploitation. We are putting more and more efforts into the resources exploration. So, cutting the operating cost and guarding against operating risk have be come a very important element that should be paid more attention to. Methods include sidetrack drilling in old wells, stimulation treatment, development in horizontal wells and shallow layer resources and exploitation in coal -bed gas fields. All these methods can be used to enhance the recovery ratio. Coiled tubing can fit these operations very well, because of its pliable and tough character, high automation and operations under pressure. Also, using coiled tubing can cut the operation cost and reduce the environment pollution. It is regarded as the landmark invention in workover operation in the 21st century. We can anticipate that coiled tubing operation technology will become one of the leading technologies in workover operations in the future. In recent years, coiled tubing operation technology has almost entered all the reigns of oil tube and drill pipe operation. Coiled tubing can be used in: workover operation, acid treatment, fracturing, perforation, logging, completion, well drilling, breaking down the ground delivery line and so on. Especially in operations under pres sure, logging, perforation and completion in horizontal well and high angle hole, the coiled tubing operation tech nology can display its prominent advantages. So it is called Universal operation equipment. Meanwhile, using the coiled tubing equipment can shorten the operation time, reduce the damage to the layer and enhance the securi ty. It is playing a more and more important role in exploration and development. Along with the additional exploration and development, there are more and more deep wells and ultradeep wells, which calls for a higher demand to the workover operation. So some kind of particular coiled tubing is urgently needed. It should be ultralong, have a large diameter and high strength.
