The Application Study of Light Hydrocarbon Logging in the Assessment of Water -Oil Reservoirs
Because of the intense reservoir heterogeneity and the bad differentiation between oil and water in Ordos ba sin, the assessment of water -oil reservoirs is very difficult. Light hydrocarbon logging has a high analysis accura cy,obtaining more parameters and information of oil -gas reformed by water indirectly,so it has very distinct ad vantages in the assessment of water -oil reservoirs. According to the Micro -biological degradation and water solubility, making a series of elementary experiments and analyzing the abundant data of formation testing, and then selecting good evaluating parameter,a light hydrocarbon logging evaluation method is built and a series of quantitative models is created. This method is very efficient in terms of the assessment of water -oil reservoirs by a practical application period of one year. Ordos basin in geological history has been maintained with the settlement characteristics of structural flat, rare anticlines,faults,and lithologic reservoirs. With the poor reservoir properties and heterogeneity of an oil -water co existence of mostly fluid, there is no apparent oil -water interface, and the process of water explanation during log ging has a great difficulty. Logging technology of light hydrocarbon oil reservoirs for water assessment is a feasible way.
