A CIM-based System model for Life-cycle Assets Management and Control Integration in Smart Grid
Life-cycle assets management (LCAM) is promising for improving power system efficiency and reliabilities, lowering life-cycle costs of smart grid. This paper, after investigating assets management life cycle covering from assets procurement to retirement phrase, proposes an assets operation and management integrated system model, which serves such differential targets as LCC analysis and maintenance policies making based on life-cycle online and offline operational data integration. Further, some issues are discussed about system implementation without influencing upon existing applications. Finally, feasible technical solutions are proposed related to these issues such as data format translation from legacy data into CIM-based data, security concerns between different applications with time consistent constraints.
