International Sub-Millimetre Airborne Radiometer (ISMAR): A Sub-Millimetre Wave Airborne Demonstrator for Observations of Precipitation and Ice Clouds

摘要：

Global observation of clouds and rain by satellite measurements at millimetre and submillimetre wavelengths is a topic of increasing interest. The key objectives are (1) to obtain improved knowledge of the characteristics of ice clouds, the optical properties of which have a strong impact on the global radiative budget, and (2) to gain a capability for making global measurement of precipitation with high spatial and temporal sampling.
