Further study of Dichroics for Dual-Channel Quasi-Optical Network
Dichroics are key components in the design of quasi-optical networks. Working as a frequency filter in the dual-channel Quasi-Optical Network (QON), a dichroic is needed to transmit at 54GHz and reflect at 89GHz. In this project, a single layer skewed slot dichroic has been designed and fabricated to reduce the insertion loss and minimise the beam distortion. It can be concluded from the measured results that the insertion loss is reduced and operating bandwidth is improved, and also the beam distortion generated by the skewed dichroic is smaller than the previous two layers dichroic.
