Analysis and Implementation of FULMS Algorithm Based Active Vibration Control System

Considering the passive vibration control methods are not effective for low frequencies and will increase the size and weight of the system, an active vibration control (AVC) system is designed in this paper based on the fil-tered-u least mean square (FULMS) algorithm. Giving the multi-in multi-out (MIMO) FULMS controller structure and taking the configured smart beam with surface bonded leadzirconate-titanate (PZT) patches as research object, an AVC experimental platform is established to testify the effectiveness of the proposed controller. Experimental results indicate that the designed MIMO FULMS vibration controller has a good control performance to suppress the vibration significantly with rapid convergence.
