METHOD OF ARRANGING J2 LEAGUE SCHEDULE WITH 3 PERIODS
J2 is the second highest football league in Japan. Because they are dotted in the whole area of Japan, teams of J2 pay a lot of moving cost and suffer from moving load. In order to maintain the fairness of game, both the load and the cost must be as evenly balanced as possible. However, the load and the cost have not been taken into consideration in league scheduling. In this paper, we proposed new scheduling procedure considering moving cost. This procedure makes a schedule by using the Hill-Climbing method and the Random Search method from a basic schedule created by the Kirkman method. Moreover, constraints from players and supporters suggestions were also imposed. As a result, we confirmed that variance of moving cost were significantly decreased during summer and long term vacation.
