SCHEDULING FOR COMPLEX PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING WITH JOB AND MACHINE DEPENDANT CONSTRAINTS

A complex manufacturing scheduling problem was studied in this paper, in which various kinds of jobs were processed on different numerical control machines and different operations usually needed specified processing requirements. Therefore the constraints structure of the problem was very complicated and hardly to solve with traditional method. A heuristic approach was proposed to deal with the situation which integrated two kinds of dispatching rules with a random pattern. A simulation model for the manufacturing environment was established with Arena simulation software. The optimized results were experimented in the simulation environment and showed the good performance and feasibility in its implementation.
