APPLICATION OF EARNED VALUE METHOD IN COST/SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT OF AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Cost control is one of the most important parts in project management. The major goal of project cost control is to control the change in cost. The earned value (EV) method of project management is a powerful tool that supports the management of project scope, time, and cost. In this paper, an international conference was viewed as a project, and the EV method was adopted to manage the cost and schedule of the conference. The whole process of cost and schedule management was described, and the performance achieved was analyzed.
