A STUDY ON TECHNICAL COMPETENCE EVOLUTION IN POST-MERGER

Technology synergy is the main motivation of merger and acquisition. This study is to explore post-merger technical competence evolution during resource integration. Based on resource theory and core competence theory, post-merger technical competence evolution system dynamics model was built and the conclusion showed that both resource integration competence and resource construction are control variables in this system. The available relevant proposals for post-merger technical integration was put forward: filtering resources in advance, taking targeted resource integration strategy, matching resource scale and technology management competence.
