A STUDY ON THE GROWTH EFFECT OF REGIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION FOR MALAYSIA, PHILIPPINES AND THAILAND
Economic globalization plays an important role around the world.However, developing countries are searching different ways to improve their economic growth. One of the choices is regional economic integration. The most famous one for north-north regional economic integration is Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).This paper tries to analyze the growth effect of ASEAN for the first three countries of it (Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand) in order to quantize the effect through the economic model and study how the economic level of other member countries can affect one countrys economic growth. The study can give a better understanding of how China should participate in todays trend of regional economic integration.
