SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT: A NEW PARADIGM FOR THE PURPOSE OF ECONOMIC ENTITIES
The today world where economic and environmental pressures have never before enormously been put all over is calling for sustainably better quality of human lives. As economic engines, business firms encounter series of troublesome roads where both safety and speed are evenly required. The authors examine elements and their inherent philosophy of King Bhumibol Adulyadejs Sufficiency Economy Model with the combined approaches from Beyond Greening sustainable commerce and some current sustainability management perspectives in some Thai medium and large companies. The assessment leads to our conceptual and practical confirmation of the purpose of business as to sustain the living, economic and social balance. Evidences show that business owners and all stakeholders can internalize this holistic purpose into their operational relationship so that balanced standard of living of our future generations may be assured beyond borders.
