DOES WORK-BASED LEARNING CHALLENGE EMPLOYING NEEDS?

This paper aims to study the need of the logistics entrepreneurs (manufacturers & logistics service providers) in employing the work-based learning (WBL) graduates in logistics management from Panyapiwat Institute of Technology (PIT) which is the first institute launching WBL for Logistics Management Program in Thailand and to study the significance of WBL in Logistics Management in selecting and employing. The methodology is qualitative approach. Data is collected by using the questionnaire and executive interview (depth-interview). The population sampling is top 20 logistics entrepreneurs in Bangkok. The prospective outcome could be the positive feedback from Human Resources Management (HRM) of logistics entrepreneurs in hiring the WBL graduates from PIT as they may realize the WBL is practical and effective enough to create newly-graduated and skilful employees commencing work faster than those without WBL programs at the entry level.
