DOES TOP MANAGEMENT COMPENSATION ENCOURAGEMENT AFFECT CORPORATE PERFORMANCE? ANALYSIS FROM ELECTRONIC ENTERPRISES
In this paper, we study the effect of top management compensation encouragement on electronic listing enterprise performance in 2006-2008. The results show that compensation population structure, compensation level and compensation changes of top management in the listed enterprises can affect firm performance significantly. When the population proportion of top management that owns stock is low, the top management stock ownership has a negative impact on firm performance. When per capita total compensation of top management is too high, per capita total compensation has a negative impact on firm performance.
