MODERN STATISTICAL ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES FOR KANSEI ENGINEERING
Multivariate analyses play crucial roles in Kansei engineering. Two methods, Principal Component Analysis and Quantification Theory type I have been commonly used for Kansei engineering. PCA is used for unveiling structure of Kansei. QT I is applied for estimating relations between design element variations and Kansei evaluations. Recent development of multivariate analysis and growing computing power of personal computers enable to analyzing larger and complicated Kansei evaluation data. In this paper, we introduce Partial Least Square regression, Non-parametric regression and Quantification theory type III. In addition, Kansei analysis examples are provided.
