NEW SUPERAMOLECULAR POLYMER MICELLES OF α-CYCLODEXTRIN AND POLY(L-LACTIDE), POLY (L-LACTIDE)/POLY (ε-CAPROLACTONE) COPOLYMER
New types of supramolecular polymer micelles (SMPMs) of α-cyclodextrin (α-CD) and poly (L-lactide) (PLLA), PLA-co-poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL) copolymer, mixture of PLLA and PCL have been prepared. The SMPMs are constructed by the weak interactions of host-guest interaction and hydrophobic interaction by the self-assembly of α-CD and polymers. Urea and maleic anhydride modified α-CD (MAh-α-CD) are used to weak the strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds of α-CDs to render the amphiphiles water-soluble and minimize the crystallization of the polyrotaxanes.
