CONTROLLED RELEASE OF HYDROGEL MODIFIED TEXTILE PRODUCTS

The controlled release properties of PNIPAAm/polyurethane modified nonwoven fabrics were studied. Elastic polyurethane precursors were incorporated into the hydrogel to reduce the heavy syneresis and improve the mechanical properties of pure PNIPAAm. The results suggested that the Vitamin C release could be controlled by environmental temperature at around human skin temperature. The PNTPAAm/polyurethane modified nonwoven fabrics with controlled release capacity may be used in wound dressing materials and cosmetics products.
