SUPRAMOLECULAR POLYMER MICELLES SELF-ASSEMBLED FROM α-CYCLODEXTRIN AND PLLA-PCL BASED COPOLYMERS
We report here a new supramolecular polymer micelle (SMPM) constructed from α-CD derivatives (MAh-α-CD) and PCL/PLLA based copolymer guests with different structure regularity via host-guest and hydrophobic interactions. SMPMs are composed of hydrophilic MAh-α-CD threaded polymer chains and hydrophobic unthreaded chains. Structure regularity was found to play an important role in SMPMs formation, reflecting by the random structure of copolymer being more favorable for SMPMs formation. Potential application of SMPMs in drug delivery was further evaluated.
