PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF CAMPTOTHECIN (CPT)-LOADED FOLATE-CONJUGATED DEXTRAN NANOPARTICLES FOR TUMOR-TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY USING SUPERCRITICAL ANTISOLVENT METHOD
Camptothecin (CPT)-loaded folate-conjugated dextran nanoparticles (FA-DEXNPs-CPT) for tumor-targeted drug delivery have been prepared using supercritical antisolvent (SAS) method. Results under optimum conditions for mean particle size, zeta potential, entrapment efficiency, loading efficiency and in vitro drug release of uniform and spherical FA-DEXNPs-CPT were found to be 182.21±5.2 nm, -28.84±2.66 mV, 62.13%, 36.12% and 14.79% in 180 h, respectively. FT-IR, DSC and XRD results indicated the CPT was entrapped within the folate-conjugated dextran nanoparticles.
