PREPARATION AND PROPERTIES OF MULTI-RESPONSIVE SEMI-IPN HYDROGEL MODIFIED MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES AS DRUG CARRIER

Multi-responsive semi-interpenetrating network hydrogel modified Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles were designed and synthesized using a two-step aqueous polymerization method, where Fe3O4 nanoparticles served as the core and semi-IPN hydrogel consisting of poly-N-isopropylacrylamide (PNIPAM, thermoresponsive) and polyacrylic acid (PAA, pH-responsive) was used as the shell. Results showed that the average diameter of the modified magnetic particles was about 200-600 nm, and the saturation magnetization was about 6.42 emu/g. The modified magnetic particles were sensitive to temperature and pH, which shows potential application in the field of intelligent controlled drug delivery.
