MONODISPERSE PLA/PLGA NANOPARTICLES FABRICATION THROUGH A SURFACTANT-FREE ROUTE
Polymer nanoparticles are extensively researched for applications in drug and vaccine delivery. Here, we report the preparation of monodisperse PLA/PLGA nanoparticles through a self-organized precipitation route. Sizes of the nanoparticles can be tuned through changing the initial polymer concentration, organic solvent/water ratio or solvent evaporation rate. Drugs or semiconductor nanoparticles can be encapsulated into these polymer nanoparticles.
