COMPOSITE FIBROUS MATRICES PREPARED BY ELECTROSPINNING WITH VARIOUS VOLUMES TO CONTROL THE AMOUNT OF IMMOBILIZED BASIC FIBROBLAST GROWTH FACTORS AND ITS IN VITRO BIOACTIVITY

We fabricated composite fibrous matrices with various volumes, ultimately to control the amount of immobilized basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF). The fibrous matrices appeared to have an open-porous structure and the amount of bFGF on fibrous matrices was increased with increasing the volumes of matrices. Controlled release of bFGF from the matrices was achieved for 56 days. During in vitro test, the released bFGF maintained its bioactivity and enhanced proliferation of human mesenchymal stem cells.
