FABRICATION OF PLLA NANOFIBROUS MULTI-CHANNEL CONDUITS FOR NEURAL TISSUE ENGINEERING
Using a specially designed mold, we combined thermal induced phase separation (TIPS) of polymer solutions and a low pressure injection molding (LPIM) technique in a single process, and fabricated two kinds of multi-channel neural conduits with different structural parameters. The morphology, porosity and pore distribution, mechanical properties, protein adsorption and degradation behavior of these conduits were then investigated. The conduits with well-defined features may have a significant potential in neural tissue engineering.
