PREPARATION OF MONODISPERSE HIGHLY-MAGNETIC BIODEGRADABLE CHITOSAN NANOSPHERES WITH CORE-SHELL STRUCTURE
Highly-magnetic biodegradable/biocompatible chitosan nanospheres were prepared by a modified solvothermal reduction method at atmospheric pressure. The experiments show that the magnetic chitosan nanospheres with saturation magnetization of 73 emu/g exhibit distinct superparamagnetic characteristics. Interestingly, these nanospheres are monodisperse with a unique structure of magnetic core and chitosan shell.
