LOCALLY INFUSED GENE CONTAING NANOPARTICLES TO INHIBIT RABBIT INTIMAL HYPERPLASIA
Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) is one of the most effective treatments for atherosclerosis, but a long-term curative effect is greatly prohibited by restenosis. Antisense monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (A-MCP-1) plays an important role in the restenosis process. In this study, A-MCP-1 nanoparticles were prepared from poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) copolymer and investigated for local gene therapy.
