SELF-ASSEMBLY OF NOVEL CORE/SHELL STRUCTURED BLUE FLUORESCENT SILICA NANOP ARTICLES
Blue luminescent silica nanoparticles with novel core/shell structure were successfully prepared by encapsulating octadecylamine modified water soluble carbon quantum dots (CQDs) inside the silica matrix. The products were characterized by TEM, HRTEM, fluorescence spectra, and laser confocal fluorescence microscopy. The results indicated that the obtained silica nanoparticles exhibited excellent water solubility and high fluorometric stability, which would greatly extend the application of carbon quantum dots and silica materials, such as cellular labeling, biosensors and targeted drug delivery.
