The Design and Development of a Two-dimensional Numerical Simulation Software Platform of Ice Accretion
In this paper, a two-dimensional numerical simulation software platform of ice accretion is developed. It integrates the self-developed icing computer code and the commercial software which is used for the grid generation, the two-phase flow simulation and post processing. Mixed language programming b used to develop the ice accretion software platform. There are three sections in the development of the platform; they are the transformation and transmission of data, the calling of the commercial software and the development of software interface respectively. The platform is applicable for the complex icing substrate and retains the sustainable development of the icing computer code. Furthermore, it provides a friendly interface with C++. Finally, as a confirmatory case, the ice accretion on the NACA0012 airfoil under typical meteoric conditions is simulated with the platform. The results prove the validity and reliability of the developed software platform.
