Optimization of Integrated Flight/Propulsion Control System Based on Onboard Hybrid Aero-engine Model and SQP

The optimization realtime of integrated flight/propulsion control system is mainly studied in this paper. After combining the onboard hybrid aero-engine model with SQP (Sequential Quadratic Programming), an approach applied to the integrated flight/propulsion optimal control is proposed. Firstly, a steady-state hybrid aero-engine model is designed in the whole flight envelope, which can enhance optimization realtime observably. Subsequently, with the aid of the hybrid model, the aero-engine performance seeking control including the maximum thrust mode and minimum fuel-consumption mode is performed using SQP. Using the matching optimization mode, the integrated flight/propulsion control system can carry out various flying missions better, e.g. cruise, climb, acceleration and so on. Finally, digital simulations show that the proposed method takes the realtime advantage with the acceptable optimization effectiveness.
