Study on the Assessment of Human Intrinsic Safety in Complex Socio-technical Systems
Complex socio-technical systems have become integral parts of human society along with the integration, automation and complication of technical equipment. But once the accidents of this complex high-risk system happen, the impact will be inestimable. In this paper, the ships with normal navigation conditions are taken as the research objects, in which the mechanism and assessment methods of human intrinsic safety are studied deeply. This paper points out that the human intrinsic safety in complex socio-technical systems is the function of human behavior and its consequence, and it is also a target which can be approached continuously. At the same time, it is a process with a lot of small targets. Human intrinsic safety is the target of process which is also the process with many small targets, and the most important, it is a typically grey process.
