Research on the Evaluation Index for WebGIS on Geological Hazard Alert and Emergency Based on AHP

With the complexity of geological and geographical environment, China becomes one of the worlds most serious geological disaster countries. In order to carry out prevention and control of geological disasters, there is a need for the investigation of geological disasters and the establishment of geological hazard information system. Geological hazard information system is a GIS-based application. WebGIS applies Internet technology to GIS development. To judge whether a WebGIS system is user-friendly, easy to operate, stable and reliable, whether the system is capable of dealing with geological disasters, the evaluation of the performance is very important. And at first the evaluation index system should be established. This paper utilizes AHP model to analyze the evaluation index for the performance of WebGIS in order to provide references for concerning departments in decision making.
