Hypersonic Vehicles Configuration Design and Aerodynamic Characteristics Study
Hypersonic paraboloidal lifebody configuration vehicle and waverider configuration vehicle are designed on the basis of triangular liftbody configuration vehicle in this paper, and aerodynamic characteristics of these three configurations at Ma= 5. 37, 7. 38, and 10. 61, respectively, are compared and studied by numerical simulation method. The computation results under the same constraints of geometry design indicate that the lift-drag ratio of waverider configuration is highest, the difference of lift-drag ratios between paraboloidal liftbody configuration and triangular liftbody configuration is very small, and the influence laws of control surfaces on these three configurations are similar. The comparison of pitching moment coefficients of the three configurations reveals that compared with that of triangular liftbody configuration, the force moment value of paraboloidal liftbody configuration with control surfaces decreases faster as the attack angle increases; while the force moment of waverider configuration is the smallest one with poorest stability among three.
