Curvature-Corrected Surface Boundary Condition for the Euler Equations on Cartesian Grids

A curvature-corrected symmetry technique (CCST) developed by other researchers has been extended to Cartesian grids. Based on Euler solver of a finite volume method, CCST is further extended to threedimensional Cartesian grids. The method utilizes the normal momentum equation and ghost cells to build the wall boundary treatment. Two different models are introduced, one without considering wall curvature and one considering wall curvature. Numerical results are presented for several two-dimensional and threedimensional inviscid flow fields. Solutions obtained by the present method compared with experimental data, and showed preliminarily improvements and advantages over those with a conventional approach based on symmetry technique(ST).
